Resilience is a built-in capacity inherent in the human brain. It’s something we can call on as we face and cope with challenges and crises that come with being human. The practice of compassion - toward self and others - is also a powerful agent of brain change: it helps to shift our responses from rumination and fear to a more empowered mind-state that enables positive action.
