I've been unbelievably lucky running into so many talented, kind, and generous-hearted teachers. When the student is ready the teacher will appear? Isn't that what they say? I must have been good and ready, because they've been appearing everywhere. In yoga studios, on tree limbs, streaking across skies, in subway trains, and with refreshing frequency in the fairy-dusted forests of Montana. My teachers nudge me to hit the reset button whenever I get a little (or a lot) lost. My gratitude for them extends infinitely.

. . . You can escape if you remember
A time when you were not a guest in your own house.
Then you see them on the distant
Hill, waving you closer, calling your name --
They are the ones who draw a circle on the ground.
At the edge of every darkness love is burning candles.~ Gary Lemons, from his poem, Freedom, in his exquisite book, Fresh Horses
