There are many awesome ways to pay it forward to your community, locally and globally. Like, for instance:
- Participating in the Yoga For Good program if you live in the DC metropolitan area. Sponsored by Sun & Moon Yoga Studio, these are all-levels, donation-only yoga classes led each month by a different teacher: one class in Arlington and another in Fairfax, Virginia. Classes are held on Saturday afternoons once a month between 4:30 and 5:30. You can learn more here.
- Donating to the Tibetan Children's Education Foundation (TCEF). This is one of many important seva projects that was the brainchild of my dear friends at the Feathered Pipe Foundation. TCEF is dedicated to the preservation of Tibetan culture by supporting Tibetan schools and children in exile from their homeland. This organization provided most of the funds for building the Kyitsel-ling Tibetan Children’s Education Center, located in North India and gave scholarships to Tibetan children for their education. TCEF also financially supports destitute Tibetan elders and facilitates cultural exchange programs having brought Tibetan monks and traditional Thangka painters to America. It's a beautiful program run by beautiful people. And it's super-easy to donate using the button below.
